About the event


This is the second annual Hyperchromatic Music Festival. Come learn about and listen to contemporary microtonal music! This event is free.

The study of hyperchromatic, or microtonal, music offers a new plane of tonal possibility to musicians trained in 12-note chromatic music. Because the study of hyperchromatic music is so vast and demanding, this festival has been devised to offer practical guidance for musicians to chart their own path through this seemingly infinite spectrum of tones. The event is free and both students and members of the public are welcome to attend. Be sure to book tickets in advance. The full program will be announced soon!


We are hosting the second annual Hyperchromatic Festival in collaboration with Goldsmiths University and the Royal Music Aassociation. In 2025, the festival included microtonal works written for keyboard, Lumatone, trumpet, flute, recorder, accordion, banjo, oud, violin, and voice.
